Kaspersky has partnered with KidZania to open a Cyber Research Center in Mexico, aimed at educating children about cybersecurity in a fun and engaging way. The initiative highlights the growing importance of digital safety, teaching kids how to navigate the online world safely and equipping them with skills to identify cyber threats.
“Cybersecurity is a basic element in our digital lives, and this collaboration with KidZania is a great way for children to understand that being safe online is just as important as in the real world,” said Judith Tapia, Consumer Product Manager at Kaspersky Mexico. “This experience inspires today’s youth to become the cyber heroes of tomorrow.”
The Cyber Research Center, opened on March 12, 2025, allows children to become cyber investigators, solving challenges related to digital fraud, online espionage, and identity theft. The center aims to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and privacy protection skills.
Claudio Martinelli, Managing Director for the Americas at Kaspersky, emphasized the importance of education in creating positive change, noting that the center will empower children to build a safer digital world.
Hernán Barbieri, Director of Operations at KidZania, highlighted the significance of teaching online safety, saying the center is an essential space where kids can learn how to protect themselves in the digital world.
The center is located at the Santa Fe Shopping Center in KidZania, Mexico, and is expected to welcome thousands of children annually.
