Sola Security, a cybersecurity startup based in Tel Aviv, has launched a self-service, AI-powered Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platform, backed by $30 million in seed funding. The company aims to make security tools more accessible by simplifying complex workflows and reducing the need for highly skilled engineers.
Founded in May 2024, Sola focuses on ease of use and a community-driven approach. Co-founder and COO Ron Peled explained that the platform connects fragmented security tools seamlessly, addressing a common challenge faced by security teams.
Sola’s $30 million funding round was led by S Capital and veteran venture capitalist Mike Moritz. The company is led by Guy Fletcher, the founder of Cider Security, which was sold to Palo Alto Networks for $198.3 million in 2022.
Peled said Sola’s AI-powered platform enables IT teams to automate security tasks easily, without needing specialized expertise. The goal is to democratize security automation, allowing users to build customized solutions quickly.
Sola also focuses on a product-led growth strategy, offering a self-service model that lets users explore the platform with minimal sales involvement. The company encourages security professionals to share their solutions, promoting community-driven growth.
